Practice FAQ

How much does it cost?

Currently, our practice feature is free of charge. You can start booking practice sessions right away.

How does it work?

Once you have signed up to CaseCoach, you can book a session with an available user or propose a session to other users here.

Once a session is booked, you will receive an email confirmation and a calendar invite.

At the scheduled time, visit your Sessions page and click on “Enter Session”. You will then be connected to the other participant through a video call.

Make sure to provide feedback after the session, as it will contribute to your rating.

What happens during a session?

A session typically lasts 1h30.

In the first half of the session, one of the participants will play the role of the interviewer and give a case to the other participant. The case should last around half an hour to give enough time in the end for feedback.

In the second half of the session, participants swap roles. The first participant becomes the candidate, the other the interviewer. Another case is used.

Where can I find case material?

You need to come prepared for the session with your case material. If you are looking for quality cases, sign up to our Interview Prep Course. It includes a library of 70 cases with top mark solutions.

Can I cancel a session?

Yes, you can cancel a session from the Sessions pages. The other participant will be notified by email.

Note that canceling less than 12 hours ahead of the session will affect your rating unless the session was booked less than 6 hours from its scheduled start.

How is the star rating calculated?

The star rating is the average between your interviewer score and your reliability score. Your performance as a candidate does not affect your star rating.

The interviewer score is calculated based on other candidates’ feedback about their experience when you played the role of the interviewer, and on their willingness to practice with you again.

The reliability score is calculated based on whether you have attended scheduled sessions without cancelling with less than 12 hours notice, showed up on time, and submitted feedback afterwards.

What is a top interviewer?

Users who have completed at least 5 sessions on CaseCoach and achieved a high star rating are awarded the Top Interviewer status.

This status allows them to restrict their bookings to other Top Interviewers, and therefore to benefit from high-quality practice sessions.

How should I prepare before a session?

Being prepared for a session will help you receive positive feedback and achieve a high star rating.

We recommend that you come with a quality case, that you know well, and with a scorecard to capture your feedback about the other participant.

To download good quality cases and the CaseCoach scorecard, sign up to our Interview Prep Course. It includes a library of 70 cases with top mark solutions.

Also make sure to connect from a computer (not a phone) using a headset, from a quiet space with a stable broadband connection.

Can I conduct the session outside of CaseCoach?

Yes, if the other participant agrees, you may conduct the session in person or using another videoconferencing app. You will still be able to submit and receive feedback through the platform.

Who can see my profile?

If you book a session, your CaseCoach profile will be displayed to the other participant.

If you propose a session, your CaseCoach profile will be displayed to visitors. However, if you are an experienced professional, you have the option to hide your profile from other experienced professionals who work in both the same country and the same industry as yourself.

Which information will be shared with other users?

Other users may see the information on your profile page.

Your contact details (e.g., email, phone number) are never shared with other users.
